Dorothy Holmes is the mother of Ronald “Ronnieman” Johnson, who was killed October 12, 2014. While Dorothy is wrestling with the grief over the murder of her son, and while she sued the City to release the dashcam video to disprove Officer George Hernandez’s claims that he shot and killed Ronnieman because he was pointing a gun at him (the dashcam video shows that he did not have a gun), Ms. Holmes organized a toy drive in her son’s memory, the first of which began in 2015. The toy drive is now an annual event and we are proud to announce the 2nd Annual RonnieMan Holiday Toy drive. Last year toys were donated to elementary and pre-schools on the south and west sides as well as given to families by visiting homes door to door by Ms. Holmes.
Please support her by donating toys at the drop off locations posted below. Online donations will be available soon as well as additional drop off locations.
