We protested to stop the racist murder and violence that this system has willfully unleashed. Not only is the government standing by as COVID-19 ravages Black, Latinx and Indigenous communities—inciting mass Black death with their calls to reopen the economy, but the police and racist vigilantes continue to brazenly hunt and kill Black folks while they sleep in their beds and on open roads in broad daylight. We protest the genocidal policies of government that have allowed city and county jails, federal and state prisons, juvenile detention jails, and immigrant detention centers to become hotbeds for COVID-19 infections and death camps for millions.
WE call for the depopulation of the jails, prisons and detention centers and the brutal murders of Black people by racist vigilantes and cops. We marched for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Ronald “RonnieMan Johnson III, Pierre Loury, Laquan McDonald, Rekia Boyd, Sandra Bland, Roshad McIntosh, and so many more. We are proud to join protests of the brutal, heinous murder of George Floyd which has ignited the flames of rebellion throughout the country. On March 30th, over 20,000 marched with us, and over 4,000 cars joined our caravan as we demanded the defunding of police, the freeing of prisoners confined in filthy death traps of jails and prisons and detention centers, and justice for ALL those murdered by cops and vigilantes.
Remember this, the one thing they can never do is outnumber us. We must continue to mobilize and organize the masses of our people, the oppressed and the working class in response to every form of police violence and repression. #FreeThemAll #FreeGeraldReed #MassReleaseNow #JusticeforGeorgeFloyd #BreonnaTaylor #TonyMcDade #BlackLivesMatter
